Stuff that’s so awesome it hurts, Vol. 38

I went to my first rodeo this weekend. It was really fun! Of all the activities, I enjoyed the mutton bustin’ the most. Anyway, I thought it would be cool to do an entire rodeo-themed volume of awesomess, so here it is. Enjoy its cowboy goodness.

1. Cowboy Booties from TwentySecondStreet Crafts. These are just adorable. Perfect for your little cowpoke.

2. Sparrow Dirt Hank Hat from Hatbox. Hatbox is an awesome Austin-based haberdashery. This hat is one of their special editions – a little bit Austin, a little bit Western. I love it!

3. Black Rolling Riding Horse. How fun is this horse? Kids can sit on him and pretend they are real cowgirls and cowboys. It holds up to 100 pounds! Seems like it would be pretty easy to make a slightly bigger one for me, doesn’t it?

4. Ariat Legend Western Boots. I’ve always had a soft spot for the cowboy boots and sundress look. It’s the perfect outfit for a warm day at the rodeo and I saw tons of girls wearing it last week. These boots are particularly great – I love the turquoise and brown together.

5. Stars and Stripes Sequin Vest. As you can see, I saved the very best for last.  This is from a store called Sparkle Plenty Fashions.  Seriously.  So yes, sparkle vests might not be your thing, but they are very important to the rodeo experience and you’ve got to admire their pizazz. Look at how patriotic these women are. Dazzling.

That’s all for this week. I hoped you enjoyed your rodeo-related awesomeness!
