Stuff that’s so awesome it hurts, Vol. 8

Awesomeness

This week’s volume is full of cool stuff. It even has a dinosaur in it!

Full-size T Rex Replica. This is one of those times when I really don’t need to say anything about the chosen item; it totally speaks for itself. Okay, so I have no idea where you’d keep something like this, but how cool would it be to own a life-sized T-Rex skeleton? Pretty damn cool, if you ask me.

Preen Envelope Skirt. I can’t actually afford anything at La Garconne, but I just love this skirt anyway. It’s pretty and feminine, but very appropriate for a serious business function. It really channels the 80s, but somehow manages to look contemporary at the same time. I like it.

Curio Wine Server by Modern Cellar. Since most of us don’t have the space or the money to build a full-on wine cellar, we tend to store wine on shelves or in cabinets in our kitchens, pantries or dining rooms. This wine server is an elegant and functional way to keep wine (and all the glasses and accessories you need) in public view. I have an awesome wine service already, but if I didn’t, I would be all over this one.

icandi Sunstone Earrings. My friend Kelly suggested this store to me (I believe it’s her sister’s friend’s shop). The jewelry at icandi is colorful and whimsical – it’s very cute. I like these squiggly earrings, but there are lots of other pieces to choose from, all of them very nice.

Red Ovals Mobile. Mobiles get a bad rap. Or rather, they don’t get much of a rap at all. The mobile is a very under-utilized home accessory. We tend to neglect our ceilings when decorating, but a mobile gives you a chance to make up for that. Especially if you have high or cathedral ceilings, a mobile is a great way to draw the eye upward and add a splash of color in a normally blank space. The Hanging Mobile Gallery provides dozens of choices in all sorts of styles, colors and price ranges, so you have no excuse for leaving your poor ceiling empty and boring.

That’s all for this week! I hope you enjoyed it.
