Stuff that’s so awesome it hurts, Vol. 5

Last week I learned that my dad reads this blog regularly.  I was very happy to learn this. But then I learned that he thinks it’s a “little girly.”  So this week’s volume of awesomeness is completely gender neutral. And it will not contain anything related to clothing or accessories, either.  If you don’t like it, blame my dad.

1. Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR camera. This one comes straight from Dad himself.  This Nikon is a nice, easy to use DSLR camera for those of you looking to upgrade.  So far, the photos look amazing and Dad says, “I really like having a ‘real’ camera again and will be taking a lot of pictures with it.” If it’s got his endorsement, it’s got mine.

2. Discraft ESP Force golf disc. If you’ve never played disc golf, you should definitely try it. It’s fun. If you’ve never played, maybe this isn’t the best disc for you to start with, but if you’re a fan of the sport you should try this disc. Apparently it’s the fastest Discraft disc ever, and achieves “mega distance.” Anything that achieves mega anything is awesome.

3. Usona outdoor swing. This swing is fantastic. The backs fold up and down, so you can sit and lie on it. It’s simple, but really beautiful. PS – Usona has tons of great contemporary home furnishings; I could fill up a whole list with just their outdoor collection.

4. Channel Changer Ray Gun remote. This is by far the coolest way to change channels that I’ve ever seen. So what if we don’t have flying cars or jetpacks? We totally have ray guns. (Well, ray gun channel changers, at least.)

5. Bentwood wooden coffee cuffs. I love this idea – a reusable coffee sleeve. Especially this wooden one. It really classes up that $4 coffee. Assuming the Starbucks near you isn’t closing. And even if it isn’t, maybe you should find a local coffee shop anyway.

I hope you all enjoyed this father-inspired volume of awesomeness. Dad, how did I do?

I like Innova discs a lot better. Their disc rating system has a lot more information about the full flight characteristics of the disc. I think the best starter disc is a Panther. Mega control > mega distance. :-)

I LOVE the wooden coffee cuff – gorgeous! Sadly, I will have to content myself with my zebra-print cuff. Sigh.

    That outdoor swing is inspiring!

Good suggestion with the Panther, Forrest! I also like the Shark for an overall good disc.

You did great Jenn! I’ll be more than happy to take the blame.
I especially like the Ray Gun channel changer, think how great this will be for the upcoming political ads. You don’t like the candidate, you point the Ray Gun and Zapp him.
